Finca Antigua

In 1998, after more than a century in Rioja, the Martínez Bujanda family decided to embark on a new project, and bought the large Finca Antigua estate in La Mancha. At the very high altitude of 900 metres, and with plenty of limestone in the soil, this was the ideal site not just for the Rioja grapes, but for international varieties too. The Finca Antigua wines offer distinct varietal footprints, with the reds supported by judicious use of oak: French for Syrah and Merlot, American for Tempranillo.
