Berkmann's Wine Cellars

La Braccesca

With its warmer climate and local variant of Sangiovese – Prugnolo – Vino Nobile offers a richer, headier experience than Chianti to the north. The wines have been made for at least 1,200 years, but Antinori came relatively late to the region, in 1990. In addition to the choice of traditional wines, including the superb single-vineyard Santa Pia, they offer a Cortona DOC, currently Italy’s most successful appellation for Syrah.
