We regained our crown as the Sommelier Wine Awards ‘Great Value Wine Merchant’, a prize which we had previously held from 2011-2015.

This competition is especially close to our hearts as it is judged by a selection of the country’s leading sommeliers. Imbibe Magazine Editor and Competition Director, Chris Losh, commented: “Targeting the sub-£12 area of the competition is a high-risk strategy, because that’s where the competition in SWA is strongest, but Berkmann seems to have the portfolio to pull it off. This is the fifth time they’ve won this award in the last ten years. Over 70% of their Golds, 60% of their Silvers and an incredible 85% of their Bronze Medals were under £15, all comfortably higher than any other major entrants in this year’s competition.”
