We are now seeking a proactive and hands-on Warehouse Assistant to join our team in mid-March, who will provide cover when required as a multi-drop Delivery Driver. Your main responsibilities will be working within the main warehouse operations, for which you will be enthusiastic, diligent, self-motivated and a pro-active team player, committed to successfully achieving personal goals and objectives as well as supporting those of the warehouse manager and the Company. You will need to be adaptable and willing to provide last-minute cover as a delivery driver, for which you will need a good knowledge of the motorway network across the North. Our York depot covers the West to East coast from the top of the Midlands as far up as Alnwick and everything in between.

You will need excellent knowledge of warehouse operating processes and experience working in a warehouse environment. You will need experience with multi-drop deliveries and will provide exceptional customer service: you will be delivering to premium bars, restaurants, hotels and more. Our drivers are our ambassadors.

We understand that you have a life and commitments outside of work, so we offer permanent Monday to Friday, 40 hour week contracts (no overnights). You may be required to work on Bank Holidays, for which you will receive payment or time off in lieu for these days. The working pattern is Monday to Tuesday, 8:30 – 17:30 and Friday 7:00 – 16:00, with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break.

Driver and software training may be carried out at our York depot. Uniform is provided and you are expected to maintain a clean and tidy delivery vehicle.

Skills and Experience Required

• Knowledge of warehouse operating processes/willing to learn. Such as picking, checking and palletising bottles
• Positive, can do attitude, and ability to work using own initiative
• Health and Safety in a warehouse environment
• Strong knowledge of the North road network and experience delivering into the service industry is essential
• Good experience of being a multi drop driver
• Excellent oral communication and time management skills essential
• Exceptional customer service skills, polite, helpful and positive attitude
• Ability to carry cases of wine which on average weigh 15kg
• Valid UK driver’s licence (due to our insurance policy this must be a UK driving licence)
• Forklift licence is desirable

Transport Team Leader (PM) – West Thurrock, RM20 3AX

Salary: £33,000 – £35,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9.30am–6.30pm

The Role

 

As a Transport Team Leader, you’ll be the vital link between our drivers, customer service team, 3PL partner (LCB), and our customers. You’ll be responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of our PM transport activities, with a strong focus on communication, organisation, and leadership.

 

Your day-to-day will include:

• Managing driver resources, coordinating routes, and handling absences
• Running daily debriefs and monitoring driver progress
• Overseeing documentation, deliveries, and returns
• Partnering with our warehouse team and external logistics provider
• Tracking vehicle safety and reporting damage
• Supporting with onboarding, training, and performance reviews
• Providing cover for the morning Transport Team Leader and Transport Operations Manager when required

What We’re Looking For

 

• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Organised and process-driven with a focus on excellent customer service
• Experience in fleet and transport management
• IT savvy – confident using Outlook, Excel, Teams and route planning tools
• Excellent knowledge of Greater London’s geography

We are looking for a talented and passionate Graphic Designer to work in our inhouse design team to create engaging luxury brand material which ensures that our company’s image and values and those of our wine/spirit agencies are translated into our design communications.

 

Reporting to our Design Manager and working closely with other departments you will work across a wide variety of exciting projects and will develop fresh, premium and highly creative design concepts including marketing campaigns, printed literature, POS, exhibition and event graphics, company presentations and our wine training material too.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):

• Create day-to-day marketing collateral for Berkmann Wine Cellars and sub-brands
• Brand activation: work with Brand Managers to bring brand campaigns & communication to life
• Create added value promotional support for wine and spirit brands
• Help design Berkmann’s Wholesale Price List design
• Company Conference: support in presentation preparation
• Exhibition / event materials (including our Annual Portfolio Tasting)
• Develop creative mood boards and scamps and bring them to life
• Build highly attractive PPT presentations for new brand pitches
• Work and develop relationships with external suppliers including printers, photographers and illustrators
• Keep up-to-date with trends and developments in the market

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• A degree in Graphic Design
• Be highly computer literate; have an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office and the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite; Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
• Good motion graphics and animation experience (After Effects / Premier Pro)
• A strong grasp of art working and printing processes
• A meticulous eye for detail with brilliant layout and typography skills
• Strong vision and creative flair
• Maintain brand consistency throughout all our marketing collateral
• Previous experience as a Graphic Designer within the luxury sector
• Manage project deliverables from inception to completion and manage challenging deadlines
• The abilities to create innovative premium designs across all platforms
• Be highly organised and able to manage time well; handle multiple projects simultaneously

WORKING PATTERN

This role is 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday and the core hours are 9:00 am to 17:30 pm with a 1 hour unpaid lunch break.  You will need to work the hours necessary in order to complete the work to a high standard and to meet the deadlines. The company is currently operating a hybrid working pattern, you will be expected to work at least three times a week in head office, this may increase in the future.

The Role
As Brand Creation and Innovation Manager, you will be responsible for market mapping, justifying investment and managing the end-to-end brand development lifecycle. We understand that you have a life and commitments outside of work, so we are offering 2 shift patterns at 40 hours per week:

• Tuesday to Friday, 10-hour shift pattern, 7:00 – 18:00, with 1-hour unpaid lunch break
